Resurfacers, also known as mid peels, are seen as being “superficial” treatments; which means they work on the top layer of skin, using acids and enzymes to refine the skin.

Skin peels are somewhere in between. They both treat the top layer of skin but also penetrate to the mid / lower levels, giving stronger and extended results.
